Seriously?This is tiring.Can’t Sm RESPECT Taemin enough not to keep forcing him dress as a girl?He already has enough issues with people saying he looks like a girl so forcing to dress in a dress to please fans is extremely inconsiderate of him.I can understand its for the fans but seriously,they could at least allow him to keep his dignity and dress as a male.

Welp, this is stupid.

On one hand, I don’t appreciate how people get all “EWW god WHy KEEP ON MAKING HIM DRESS LIKE A GIRL GROSS” because it always has vague to overt femmephobic/misogynist/transphobic/transmisogynist vibes to it and lol I’m not down with that shit. It isn’t undignified to be womanly/femme/a woman, but thanks for insinuating as much.

On the other hand, forcing someone to express their gender in a way that makes them uncomfortable or to exploit them so they can be consumed by fans and seem “submissive” or accessible to fans isn’t fair or OK (and is often times pretty disrespectful and femmephobic in and of itself, or a perpetuation of shitty gender roles). Though I feel like a lot of Taemin’s discomfort has to do with misogyny and machismo and needing to be “manly” and reach this ridiculous binarist standard, whatever, it’s Taemin’s gender, his way of expressing his gender and it is unfortunate that he is getting disrespected and having trouble navigating it because he’s always painted as the pretty dainty maknae.
